We chose a pastel teal colour scheme as it would go nice with the venue, the season and complement the men’s’ light grey suits. We didn’t have a particular theme as such but we quite liked the vintage look with a quirky twist to match the venue. The location was perfect with a beach nearby and we often visit Northumberland for day trips. The hall and grounds were exclusive to us all day and night. As soon as we visited we knew we wouldn’t find anywhere else that compared. We picked the date as it is in-between both our birthdays and we really wanted summer wedding. We were enjoying celebrating the New Year out on a boat in the lightshow next to the Opera House when I asked Michelle to marry me.
